2 time World Triathlon Champion - 1994,1997
My first world championship was won in Wellington NZ at my first international triathlon.
I won the Triathlon World Championships by the largest margin ever - 2mins 12sec - a record that still stands.
My second World Title was won in Perth, Australia.
I am one of the few Triathletes in the world to have won 2 world titles.
World Number 1 - 1995,1996,1997,1998.
I was ranked world number 1 for the longest period in the history of the sport.
Illness & injury curtailed my seasons in 1998 & 1999 & I subsequently developed a heart condition (unknown to me for a number of years)

Most successful Triathlete in the history of the sport - male & female - with 21 world cup wins
9 time Australian Triathlon Champion.
3 Australian Olympic Distance Championships - 1995,1997,1998.
4 Australian Sprint Distance Championships - 1994,1995,1996,2000. (I did not compete in 1997,1998,1999).
2 Australian Long Distance Championships - 2000,2001 on the only occasions I competed.
Fastest ever time for an Olympic Distance non-drafting Triathlon.
This was achieved at Noosa, Qld in November 1997 with a time of 1hr 54mins 22sec. Previously I set the fastest time at Geelong, Vic in February 1995.
Throughout this time I was developing a heart condition leading to 'Ventricular Tachycardia', which often leads to 'Ventricular Fibrillation' & sudden death. I received an implantable cardioverter defibrillator October 2004 due to this life threatening arrythmia.
Represented Australia at 2 World Cross Country Championships & 2 road relay teams.
(being part of the only road relay team to win a medal in the history of road racing at the time, with me making a significant contribution by winning my leg of the race).
